After serving for some 13 years as the primary media contact for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Alaska, Bruce Woods will be retiring on April 30, 2013. It is expected that a new employee will be hired to fill his position later this summer, probably no earlier than July. I look forward to running into any and all of you on our bike trails, riverbanks, and hillsides; and promise that when I do I will limit my conversations to warnings about breaks in the pavement, thoughts on where the fish are holding, and news of recent bear sign."
