America's Great Outdoors: Salazar Announces More than $4.2 Million in Conservation Grants to Native American Tribes
WASHINGTON -- Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar today announced more than $4.2 million in Tribal Wildlife Grants to 23 Native American Tribes in 17 states to fund a wide range of conservation projects ranging from salmon restoration to invasive species invasive species
An invasive species is any plant or animal that has spread or been introduced into a new area where they are, or could, cause harm to the environment, economy, or human, animal, or plant health. Their unwelcome presence can destroy ecosystems and cost millions of dollars.
