Otay River Estuary Restoration Project
This restoration project will restore approximately 125 acres of coastal wetlands and uplands on the San Diego Bay NWR and is funded by Poseidon Resources (Channelside) LP to fulfill part of their mitigation requirements from the California Coastal Commission and Regional Water Quality Control Board for the construction and operation of the Claude "Bud" Lewis Carlsbad Desalination Plant, Carlsbad, California.

Learn more about riparian habitat at the western terminus of the Otay River watershed on the San Diego Bay NWR, South San Diego Bay Unit. The project was partnership between River Partners (a 501(c)3 non-profit) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and was funded by several partners.
