Each fall students in the Outdoor Learning Program at White Horse Hill participate in monarch butterfly tagging. They learn about the four stages of the monarch life cycle, ege, larvae (caterpillar), pupa (chrysalis), and adult butterfly. Once the adult butterflies emerge students record whether the monarch is male or female then tag and release the butterfly to complete it's migration to Mexico.
