As of 2026, about 450 Sonoran pronghorn are found in Arizona and another 500 in Sonora, Mexico. The photo shows a pronghorn that has been released from workup during captures at the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge breeding pen. Workup or handling includes assessing health, administering shots, and attaching ear tags for identification.
