Funded by a Fish and Wildlife Service Tribal Wildlife Grant - Skokomish Tribal Members work to safely capture, collar and release Elk. Tribal Biologists Shane Miller, Scott Harris and Bethany Tropp completed this project in March of 2010. The USFWS has a long history of working with Native American governments in the management of fish and wildlife resources. Working together with indigenous cultures allows us to learn about the methods historically used by Tribes in the management of fish, wildlife and their habitats.
