Profile photo of Rio Grande silvery minnow - endangered July 20, 1994. A small, endemic, cyprinid in shallow, low velocity habitats of the Rio Grande. Photo taken in aquarium so specimen has melanophores indicating stress. Currently occuplies Rio Grande from Cochiti Dam to Elephant Butte with population reintroduced near Big Bend, Texas.
