Prairie falcons fly fast and hunt prey. They play and perform stunts in the air, nest on sheer rock faces, and dominate the skies above arid, treeless landscapes. This falcon lives in the the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, a stunning landscape in Snake River Canyon that’s home to the greatest concentration of nesting birds of prey in North America.
