Bill Lynn, a wildlife biologist with the Alabama Ecological Services Office, was a student at the University of North Alabama and working as a cashier at a Texaco when he was guided toward a natural resources career. He now serves as lead biologist for the Alabama beach mouse and assists in recovery efforts for the Perdido Key beach mouse, shorebirds, and sea turtles. Photo courtesy of Bill Lynn, USFWS
