Pennywort is also known as dollarweed. Even though dollarweed can be considered an invasive species, we can also learn something from it. We know dollarweed is caused by too much water. Therefore, we can use this species’ presence to better understand soil conditions in our garden. Since it's found in wet or constantly moist conditions, this information will help guide our selection and placement of future plant species.
