North American grassland biome loss

Most of the current range of the grassland biome resides in eastern Montana, western North and South Dakota, Nebraska, eastern Colorado and New Mexico, and central Mexico. Lost grassland habitat covers central Canada, Montana, eastern North and South Dakota, western Minnesota, Iowa, eastern Nebraska, Kansas, northern Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
