A pair of nested sieves attached to the fish host tank outflow for collecting juvenile mussels at the Virginia Fisheries and Aquatic Wildlife Center at Harrison Lake National Fish Hatchery (Charles City, Virginia). The 300 micron sieve serves as a pre-filter to collect fish feces or uneaten feed. The 150 micron sieve collects the juvenile mussels. Photo: Rachel Mair, USFWS.
