Milkweed Planting for Monarch butterfly and Other Pollinators at the FY24 annual volunteer event

Seven Air Force Academy cadets assisted the Colorado Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office(COFWCO) with planting 300 showy milkweed seedlings donated to the Academy by Monarch Watch. The plantings will benefit the monarch butterfly and other pollinators, and contributed to a large-scale creek and habitat restoration project on the installation.
