2026-2027 Junior Duck Stamp
Pair of Blue-winged Teals by Nina Liang
Nina enjoys painting on her weekends at Ping Zhao Art School. When
she first learned of the Junior Duck Stamp Contest during middle
school, she was elated to try her hand at depicting ducks because of her
growing interest in biology and conservation. Overall, she has entered
and competed in the contest 4 times. Using oils, her favorite medium,
she chose to represent the blue-winged teal because of the brilliant pop
of blue hidden in their wings. Over the years, Nina has competed with
her art nationally, winning high honors in Scholastic, Congressional,
and now the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Competition. Combined with
her love for biology and arts, she aims to pursue a dual major, to further
conservation efforts, prep for a biology related career path, and pursue
her passion of the fine arts.
