The crenulate lead-plant is a perennial shrub that grows up to 5 feet tall with several 6 to 8-inch flower spikes that bloom in the spring ranging in color from white and orange to blue and purple. This plant grows in pine rocklands, pinelands hammock edges, and marl prairie.
