Black-footed ferret mount

Lucille, the black-footed ferret mounted specimen was killed by a ranchdog in Wyoming and the owner wanted it mounted. The taxidermist said this species was "extinct." Wyoming Game and Fish Department investigated and found a colony and captured them for captive breeding, a program that still exists today because of Lucille.
