2026 Windom Wetland Management District Haying Bid Packet

Windom Wetland Management District in Windom, MN, is offering, to all eligible applicants, haying opportunities on 13 waterfowl production areas in Cottonwood, Jackson, Murray, Nobles, and Watonwan Counties of southern Minnesota.Haying will be used to manage invasive trees and improve grassland habitat conditions for nesting waterfowl. The haying unit’s range in size from approximately 15 acres to 120 acres.

The deadline for submitting sealed bids is 4:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Sealed bids must be mailed, emailed, or hand-delivered to the Windom WMD, 49663 County Road 17, Windom, MN, 56101.(Email: todd_hauge@fws.gov

Cooperators will be selected through an open and competitive process. A Special Use Permit will be required for each successful bidder.  Bidders will be notified of results by July 23, 2026.
