A day long "Celebration of Cranes" will be held on Feb. 3 starting at the refuge Visitor Center. Information about migrating sandhill cranes will be available along with maps for visitors to use for self-guided tours to good viewing areas off-refuge. If large numbers of cranes can be located close to the refuge guided car-caravan crane tours will leave from the Visitor Center at 9 am and 1 pm (those may or may not be held). An interpretive program about the cranes will be held at the Visitor Center at noon. There will also be special displays and children's crane activities from 10 am- 2 pm.
