Savannah Coastal Refuges Complex
Wassaw NWR is one of seven refuges within the Savannah Coastal Refuges Complex. There are no staff directly assigned to Wassaw NWR; it is managed out of a headquarters office at Savannah NWR. The refuge is open 7 days a week during daylight hours only, however visitors must provide their own boat transportation to get to and from the island.
