Conserving borderline species

This is an overview of what Canada and the United States are doing together in order to help protect species the two countries deem as endangered. A description of the background of this partnership is given, followed by ten examples of individual species being aided in the joint effort, thus demonstrating some of the work the partnership accomplishes. The species listed are the black-footed ferret, the swift fox, the woodland caribou, the grizzly bear, the whooping crane, the piping plover, the marbled murrelet, the Lake Erie water snake, the Karner blue butterfly and western prairie fringed orchid.
