Indigenous Connections Roundtable: Lake of Betrayal

Join us as we hear from producers, Paul Lamont, Scott Sackett and co-producer Caleb Abrams, of the 58-minute film, Lake of Betrayal, and then watch the film with us!

Lake of Betrayal highlights the harsh realities the Seneca Nation experienced during the mid-1900s, continuing the saga of  historical traumas previously endured. Lake of Betrayal tells the story of the forced removal of the Seneca Nation from their treaty protected lands for the construction of Kinzua Dam.

While painful, this film is moving and hopefully instills a sense of empathy to continue to champion for Indigenous communities today.
