Current status of waterfowl hunter quotas for San Luis and Merced NWRs
Current Hunt Unit Status

San Luis free roam: reduced quota of 82 hunters (90 would be normal). Hunters opting to go to the San Luis River Zone should be aware that river zone water levels and opportunities there are extremely low.
Blue Goose Unit: all blinds open
Kesterson Unit: all blinds open
West Bear Creek Unit: Snow Goose, Oxbow, and Pintail open. All other ponds closed.
East Bear Creek Unit: Zones 2 and 3 open. All other zones closed.
N. Freitas Unit: full quota of 15 boats
S. Freitas Unit: full quota of 15 boats
Merced NWR: all blinds open
Lonetree Unit: all zones A, B, C, D, E open (no water yet in zones A and B).
