Fish and Wildlife Agency Awards Nearly $780,000 in Grants to Maine Tribes for Conservation Projects

Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton today announced that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is awarding nearly $780,000 to four federally recognized Indian tribes in Maine to conserve and recover endangered, threatened and at-risk species and other wildlife on tribal lands. The tribes and other non-federal partners matched the grant with more than $880,000.
