PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED ON PROPOSED CRITICAL HABITAT FOR BEXAR COUNTY INVERTEBRATES
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Reagan High School, 19000 Ronald Reagan in San Antonio to solicit comments on its proposed rule to designate critical habitat for nine endangered cave-dwelling species. The proposal was published in the Federal Register on August 27, 2002.

The purpose of a hearing is to accept public comment. Questions cannot be addressed in that forum. However, Service biologists will be available before the hearing at 6:30 p.m. to answer individual questions.

"Public hearings are designed to gather relevant information that we should consider in our rule-making," said H. Dale Hall, Director of the Service
