Cooperative Agriculture Opportunities at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge

Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge near Crainville, Illinois, is accepting bids for four agriculture opportunities. Cooperators will have opportunities to row crop, clover, and hay for up to five years. Units vary in size from 959 to 1,371 acres.

To be considered, applicants must complete and submit a bid packet. Bid packets are available in person at the refuge Visitor Center at 8588 Route 148, Marion, IL 62959 or electronically by contacting wildlife biologist Dan Wood at daniel_wood@fws.gov or 618-998-5917. Applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Applications may be submitted in person at the Visitor Center or electronically to daniel_wood@fws.gov.

Successful applicants will be selected through an open and competitive process. All applicants will be notified by January 20, 2023.
