Our Services
We have public restrooms available at headquarters with a front foyer that is open from sunrise to sunset with informational brochures. There is also a visitors center and environmental education center with interactive displays and an observation deck. The Flicker Trail departs from the headquarters, down a management road and connects with a mowed trail through the cottonwoods. The Lombard trail is further south on the auto tour route and offers an asphalt universally accessible trail. All refuge roads are maintained by the refuge, as are the wetland infrastructure, fences, buildings, and instream structures built for fisheries habitat improvement. Habitat projects to improve wildlife habitat (aquatic and terrestrial), as well as projects to improve recreational opportunities are planned and prioritized each year. See the Management and Conservation Section of 'What We Do' for more information.
