Except in privately owned sections, the beaches of Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge are open for birders to bird at any time of the year. Access is not allowed after dark and dogs, horses, ATV’s, bicycles, and cars are not allowed on public beaches and foot trails. The creation and use of unauthorized dune footpaths to access the beach is not allowed and camping, fires, use of firearms, and hunting are prohibited.
