Aquilina Lestenkof holds a bag with her belongings that she symbolically carried to East Landing as her ancestors did on St. Paul Island during World War II. At the outset of the war's Aleutian Islands campaign, 800 native Unangan were removed and interned in squalid camps from 1942 through 1945.
