Volunteer Position Overview
About This Position
Incumbent would be required to work independently under the direction of maintenance staff. Primary duties would include mowing, weed eating, basic carpentry, power washing and preventative maintenance on equipment. Ability to trailer and operate a zero turn lawn mower and safely transport it around the Refuge is required. Other duties may include painting, litter pick up, invasive plant species removal and trail clearing. An RV pad with full hookups is available if needed. At least 24 hours of work per week will be required if utilizing the RV facilities. Shifts would be 8 hours per day any three days during the Monday - Friday work week excluding Federal Holidays. Couples utilizing RV facilities must both work 24 hours per week.
