Owl and Thin Meal

In a tree on Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge a barred owl (Strix varia) has a thin meal. For a bird whose diet consists of mostly squirrels, rabbits, mice, fish and other birds, very small snakes and lizards don't offer much in the way of mealtime bulk. Maybe it tastes like chicken? In One swallow the meal was out of sight.
