Carolina chickadee

The Carolina chickadee (Poecile carolinensis) is a small bird that nests in tree cavities. Depending on the time of year, their diet varies. During the warmer months they eat caterpillars, aphids, beetles, spiders and insects. During colder months they eat a variety of seeds, berries and plants and some insects.
