Description

Rough steel for hard to cut items
Finer cutting: example Morakniv
Must have sharpening tools to keep knife sharp
Ceramic recommended for finer cutting blades
Diamond edged butcher steel for rough cutting blades

Tile Cutters

Cutting rope
Wrap rope with electrical tape and cut at the taped portion
Electrical pliers (= cable cutters)
Cutting old, tarred, rougher, harder rope

Fencing pliers (crescent, modified)

Cutting netting knots, grips, etc. in close quarters, as cutting knots off lines
Can be slightly sharpened

Twines

Braided Nylon (good repair size #15) is a good repair twine, it makes good tight knots that stay in-place; Dyneema (example size #4) – since so strong, you can use a smaller diameter twine and so grips better; cotton twine is good to include in specific places to lessen ghost fishing possibility if the net is lost.
