Former First Lady Mrs. Laura Bush is helping Texas play a lead role in the conservation of the iconic monarch butterfly. From planting native milkweed and flowering nectar plants at the Bush Library in Dallas to facilitating collaboration among scientists, organizations, businesses, and land conservationists, Mrs. Bush is a true champion for this amazing species. Recently, she hosted a Monarch Symposium attended by over 200 people who came together to share information and get inspired to help save the monarch.
