2023 Black-capped vireo post-delisting monitoring news

The Endangered Species Act marked its 50-year anniversary in 2023, a milestone for one of the most significant wildlife conservation laws in the United States. Among many events and tributes celebrating this achievement, an article on the story of the black-capped vireo was posted on our website. The article featured biologists working with the vireo at Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, and can be found here: https://www.fws.gov/story/2023-09/blackcapped-vireo-surveys-show-continued-recovery. The 2023 survey season also marks year five in the black-capped vireo post-delisting monitoring plan. Some data/information are still being processed by our partners, but highlights from year five are included in this document.
