Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle

Status of the VELB is threatened, since 1980, but is currently a candidate to be de-listed (taken off the Endangered Species Act list). This female was found on the River Ranch Conservation Bank located at the north end of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area between the cities of Sacramento and Davis, California.
