A barge places limestone rock near Dressing Point Island to build the breakwater which will help reduce erosion. The project planned to place the breakwater far enough from the island (roughly 50 to 100 feet away) so that its construction didn’t negatively impact the nesting birds, but close enough to protect the island from erosion.
