Comprehensive Conservation Plan Proposed for Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge Complex

" "

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed a comprehensive conservation plan for guiding biological, recreational and land acquisition programs at the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Maine for the next 15 years. The Service presents in the draft plan four alternatives that range from scaling back to significantly expanding existing management activities, according to Refuge Manager Charlie Blair.

The Service invites comments on the plan through July 1, 2004. Informational open houses and public hearings will be held in early June at Augusta, Falmouth, Milbridge and Rockland.
