SUMRR Monthly Migratory Bird Walk - June 8
Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge (SUMRR) will meet at 8 am for the monthly bird walk.
Participants will meet at Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center unless notified otherwise. The areas we visit will depend upon current weather conditions and water levels of the Mississippi River and surrounding small waterways. Each month is a new, exciting adventure into the world of birding.
No experience necessary! Learn more about the birds around you from experienced birders, willing to share their knowledge. Some walks will be centered on birds found in the prairies, other walks you will be learning about birds of the wetlands, or birds commonly found in the forest.
Children accompanied by an adult are welcome to join in the learning experience. Bring your binoculars and your camera.
Binoculars and field guides will be available for loan if you do not have them. We will be incorporating our new eight passenger golf cart, available for those with mobility challenges, into some of the bird walks on the refuge.
