2013 Archery Days at Havasu NWRJanuary 25, 2013 and March 7-8, 2013
2013 Archery Days Events at Havasu NWR
Havasu National Wildlife Refuge will hold two Archery Days events in 2013. On January 25, 2013, an Archery Day Event for Topock Elementary School will be held, followed by a two day event on March 7 and 8, 2013, for other area schools. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service initiated archery as an outreach program in 2011 in an attempt to encourage youth to engage in outdoor activities.
Students are given an archery safety and orientation course and then they will have the opportunity to shoot on a 3D target range, to challenge themselves on a games and skills range, and to shoot on a bowfishing range. Additional learning opportunities will be provided by other partners at this event.
