Buffalo Day/National Public Lands Day - September 29, 2012

A buffalo chip throwing contest and a guided bus tour through the bison enclosure are just 2 activities at this all-day celebration of bison!

In honor of National Public Lands Day (NPLD), we need volunteers to help us with stewardship projects from 9am-12pm.  Pre-registration is encouraged for NPLD.  Register by calling 515-994-3400 or emailing Michelle.  Throughout the day, we will celebrate Buffalo Day with interpretive programs, bus tours, crafts, games and music.  Activities will center around the Prairie Learning and Visitor Center.  The event is free and open to the public!
