The Refuge and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources work closely together on many wildlife and habitat management projects and issues, from Canada goose banding to Environmental Education as well as aerial flights to count Tundra swans and prescribed burning.  This close partnership benefits not only the habitat and the wildlife in Utah that need it, but also all of our visitors who enjoy seeing and conserving our amazing Utah natural resources.  For more information, check out the Utah Division of Wildlife Resource's website.

The Refuge also works closely with Utah DWR's Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area. As the fall field trip location for the Mountain Wilds to Wetland Wonders program, hundreds of area school children get to visit Hardware Ranch and learn about the top of the watershed, water quality, native plants and more! This partnership between the state and the Refuge has been going on for over 6 years.
