Pollinator Hike at San Diego NWR

Celebrate National Pollinator Week with a guided hike exploring the vital role of pollinators—like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds—in our ecosystem! Refuge Park Ranger Nancy and Cypress from North Star Naturalist will be sharing insights on native plants and the wildlife that depends on them. Be prepared to walk approximately 2 miles with moderate elevation gain. The trail consists of packed dirt with some rocky sections, and we may go off-trail to take a closer look at different flower varieties. While not required, we recommend downloading the free iNaturalist app to enhance your learning experience as we explore this habitat together. The trailhead is at the end of Par 4 Dr, El Cajon, CA 92019. Street parking is free, and there are no restrooms onsite. Please make sure to sign up to know you are coming!
