Bill Gette, President of the Friends of Parker River NWR, will present an Introduction to Birdwatching PowerPoint lecture. Bill will describe why birding is so popular; review basic information every new birder should know to get started; outline a method for working through the identification process most effectively; explain why a sense of place and time is so important; and outline the many aids to bird identification, both physical and behavioral.
This richly illustrated lecture is appropriate for both beginners and intermediate birders and anyone interested in experiencing the beauty and diversity of wildlife.
This is a FREE program. Registration is required. To register, please send an email to friends@parkerriver.org, use the subject “Intro Lecture,” and enter your full name in the text.
