Join us for a free, fun way for all to get outside this winter at the 12th annual Candlelight Ski event on Saturday, January 31st from 5:30 - 8 pm! Enjoy a winter evening on a one-mile stretch of the Platte River Trail, lit with candle luminaries for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or hiking. If snow conditions allow, skiing will be available as usual. If not, guests can still enjoy the trail on foot or with snowshoes. Warm up by the bonfire and enjoy hot drinks and refreshments provided by the Friends of Crane Meadows NWR. This program is held both indoors at the Sedge Meadow Classroom and outdoors on the Platte River Trail.
Please note:
- The refuge is normally open to visitors during daylight hours only. Access is being provided after dark for this evening only.
