Wild Wonders: Bird Banding Demonstration

Explore your wild wonders at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge! Stop by anytime during this free, family-friendly program to watch a bird banding demonstration with Migratory Bird Biologist, Kris Spaeth. Enjoy a rare close-up look at local and migratory songbirds while watching as experts measure, weigh, band and safely release birds. Learn how to identify birds and why banding is important for conservation efforts.

This program is held entirely outdoors. Any cancellation notice will be communicated on the Friends Facebook Page and the refuge website.
