As the sun goes down, many of the critters at the refuge are just waking up. Join us for a guided twilight walk on Friday, September 15th from 7-8 p.m through the South Woods, located behind the visitor center. We will be listening and looking for owls, frogs, bats, spiders, and whatever else we may come across! Bug spray, water, and a flashlight are recommended. Stick around afterwards for a moth night in the South Woods starting at 8:15 p.m., guided by our Invasive Species Manager, Trevor Zook.
This guided twilight hike is part of our Migration Celebration, a month-long celebration of the fall migration of birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and more. By joining this hike, you will “migrate” 1.0 miles. Registration is not required, and this event is free.
