Refuge at Ritidian

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services invites the public to participate in the “Refuge at Ritidian” photo contest at the Guam National Wildlife Refuge – Ritidian Unit. 

Participants may submit up to two photos from each of the featured categories. Participants must also provide a caption for their photos and describe why Ritidian is special or important to them. Photos must be emailed to ritidian@fws.gov by Sunday, October 30, 2022.  

Photos should fall under one of these categories:

  • Wildlife: Land & Sea – wildlife of animals on land, at the beach, or in the ocean
  • Small Wonders – close-up views (macro photos) of wildlife/plants at Ritidian
  • Family Fun/ Fun with Friends – family and friends fishing, swimming, hiking, snorkeling, etc.
  • Rooted in culture – Latte stones, pottery sherds, and other remnants of ancient CHamoru heritage
