This ArtSpring weekend, join us for a free short film showcase! The two featured films are "Freeland - A White Grass Story" and "The Red Creek Sessions", both by Mountain River Media.
"Freeland - A White Grass Story" is a short documentary that focuses on the relationship of West Virginia Nordic skiing to the Blackwater River kayaking community where water is the lifeblood of both cultures.
"The Red Creek Sessions" explores the geology of Dolly Sods and the larger Cheat River basin from the perspective of whitewater kayakers. It's quite a ride!
"Freeland - A White Grass Story" will start at 2:30pm and "The Red Creek Sessions" will start at 3:30pm. Showings will take place in the Refuge Visitor Center - 6263 Appalachian Hwy, Davis, WV 26260
Filmmaker Justin Harris will be there for Saturday's showings to talk about the films!
