Bald Eagle Nests at DeSoto

Bald Eagle Nests – Saturday June 14th, at 10:00 am Starting in the Visitor Center. DeSoto Refuge has two active eagle nests and typically young bald eagles fledge the nest around early July. Join a refuge ranger as we learn about bald eagles nesting habits and then observe the active eagle nests on the refuge to see how many young are close to flegding. Spotting scopes and binoculars will be available for use during the program. Participants will need to caravan in personal vehicles out on refuge to the locations to observe eagle nests
