Arbor Day Read-Along! The Lorax

Happy Arbor Day! To celebrate, the refuge wants to invite you to the Bloomington Visitor Center for an afternoon of storytelling, crafting, and a Basswood tree sapling giveaway thanks to our friends over at the Hennepin County Forestry Department. Bring your imagination and your love of trees, we've got the rest.

Date and Time: Saturday, April 26th
Two sessions: 11am-12:30, 2pm-3:30

Location: Bloomington Education and Visitor Center - 3815 American Blvd E, Bloomington, MN 55425

Registration Information: Registration is recommended, but optional through Signup.com. Optional registration allows us to prepare supplies and materials for the program, send reminders, and allows us to contact you in the event of inclement weather!

Activity Level: Easy-active. Sitting for the storytime and crafting portions.

Meet Us: Meet us at the Bloomington Visitor Center.

What to Bring: Comfortable clothing to be in. We will be indoors, but encourage visiting the trails after to walk through the trees. The story, crafting materials, and tree saplings will be provided by refuge staff.

Accessibility: The kiosk is reachable by paved sidewalk. Indoor restrooms and water fountains located within Visitor Center, which will remain accessible for participants.

Program Leader: This program is led by refuge staff.
